With extensive experience in both practical and theoretical music education, Caren also provides GCSE Music tuition, helping students develop the knowledge, musicianship and performance skills required to achieve their full potential.
For students pursuing more ambitious musical goals, Caren has particular experience preparing pupils for music scholarship applications, auditions and competitive entry to schools, music colleges and universities.
Tuition can be tailored to the requirements of each individual audition or application, with careful attention to repertoire, performance, technique, musical interpretation, aural skills and theory where appropriate.
Whether a student is preparing for an examination, seeking a music scholarship, auditioning for a leading school or conservatoire, applying to university, or simply wishing to develop their musical ability to a high standard, Caren provides focused, supportive tuition designed around their individual goals and aspirations.
Lessons take place in various locations including Caren’s home music studio, which is fully equipped for one-to-one lessons. Caren is fully trained in child protection and safeguarding and holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
Parents of younger pupils are more than welcome to sit-in on lessons.
Music theory lessons can be taught face-to-face in person or via Zoom or MS Teams.
